Josa Barck
Josa Barck has a Bob Dylanesque sense of lyrics and a Beatles-like gift for melodious tunes in a gigantic psych-pop sound scape with massive synth pads, 100 miles an hour, no-bullshit drums and some of the pushiest vocals in Danish music. It’s dreamy and soothing yet also extremely intense, and when listening to it you are constantly blown away. Josa Barck’s experimental musicality is in a league of its own.

Takykardia
Trip-soul trio Takykardia met with completely different backgrounds and formed a world of captivating aesthetics in which they present a genre-defying and playful universe with Luna Matz’s seductive voice at the centre. Takykardia are praised to the skies by Danish as well as international blogs, their music is on the soundtrack of Isabella Eklöfs much-hyped film HOLIDAY, and they are known to deliver unique live performances. Currently, they are in the studio to record their debut album with Anders Boll.

Turquoise Sun
Since 2015, Turquoise Sun have sent waves of electric psychedelia over Denmark. They are uncompromising in their songwriting and style, and last time the band were at SPOT, they played a packed ‘Filuren’. Their video for the album harbinger ‘Luminosity’ attracted a lot of attention, and in April they then released their debut album ‘Sunesthesia’. In other words, they are coming to Uhørt Dayparty and SPOT with a brand-new record and the ambition to start off their spring tour with a bang.

M. Rexen
M. Rexen is a globetrotter – both physically and spiritually. He was born in the United Arab Emirates and now lives in a yurt at some unknown location in Denmark. M. Rexen composes his music without conventional constraints, and his genre is a clash of experimental, tribal and commercial impulses. In October 2018, he released his debut album, ‘An Endless Sea of Honey’, and recently he filled Store Vega. You may look forward to witnessing a compelling intensity that seems bound to revolutionize the Scandinavian music scene!

Paper Cranes
Heeding the call of foreign places, Paper Cranes’ melancholy electronica is soaring above mountaintops and busy cities. The quintet started out in a shut-down dairy, where clear-cut beats and extended synth pads echoed against the cracked tiles, and the harmful levels of radon contributed to the soulful vocals. It is introvert, yet monumental and quite danceable.
