Heeding the call of foreign places, Paper Cranes’ melancholy electronica is soaring above mountaintops and busy cities. The Quintet started out in a shut-down dairy, where clear-cut beats and extended layers of synth echoed against the cracked tiles and the harmful levels of radon contributed to the soulful vocals. It is introvert yet monumental and quite danceable.
