Nordic Beats

Nordic Beats is a project that takes place at SPOT 2019. The idea is to bring together a number of young, promising hip-hop artists from all the Nordic countries for one concentrated showcase. Pelle Peter Jensen is going to be the DJ who will assist the eight artists through an intense 90-minute demonstration of what the budding Nordic hip-hop, grime, urban, trap, etc. scene sounds like and is capable of.

Baby Bino (DK)
Baby Bino’s sound has it’s base in the trap genre from Atlanta and Chicago, but with his distinctive vocals, flow and language he  still makes the genre his own. His latest single ‘Sprite’ was made in collaboration with Lill Hawaii.

Flóni (IS)
Flóni is one of Iceland’s most promising artists. He recently released his sophomore studio album titled ‘Floni 2’,  and he is known for his powerful live performances and charming attitude.

Jelassi (SE)
Jelassi is one of Sweden’s most promising new rap artists. She has already gained quite a lot of attention with her first singles, ‘Keff Båt’ and ‘Inte Konsti’ and has worked with various Nordic rappers.

Lillebittebock (DK)
Lillebittebock is a unique figure on the Danish underground scene. Together with his producer Sød Soba, he delivers tracks with interesting beats, melodic layers forming a base for reflective, deep lyrics in a universe that still holds an invitation to turnup.

Mangera (DK)
Melodious, melancholy and dark. That may be the most apt description of  Mangera’s clash of emo and traditional songwriting. Having passed under the radar until now he is going to take the stage now bringing along both a DJ and an acoustic guitar.

Michael Williams (DK)
Michael Williams is a young Dane with UK roots. He’s inspired by the American trap scene and artists like Migos and Travis Scott. In 2016 he released the mixtape ‘Guide Til trap’ including the popular single ‘Gang’.

Nikotin (DK)
The young grime-inspired rapper Nikotin is going to give the Danish rap fans what they have been waiting for, with his new single ‘Du Tror’. The universe is upbeat, electronic, and the flow is fast like you know it from grime, but with a new fresh take on the genre.

Pelle Peter Jensen (DK)
Pelle Peter Jensen is one of Denmark’s  most important radio hosts when it comes to Danish music. A former host on defining radio programs ‘Lågsus’ and ‘Sovsen’ and current host on the podcast ‘Den Nye Stil’ and ‘Pelle Peters Panel’ he has helped uncovering some of the most interesting acts in Danish music.
