Mr. Koifish is Morten Køie’s new band. After 12 years playing the bass and the guitar in Turboweekend, he now stands on his own two legs as the frontman of a band. According to Køie he has been working on how to mix his earliest sources of inspiration: trip-hop indie, grunge, and hip-hop for a long time. They have now been combined with a fascination with analogue synths. This has resulted in simple arrangements that link up tremendously well with the naive lyrical universe Morten Køie moves in as Mr Koifish.
