The Danish music scene has got a new, strong soul voice in the shape of the artist Mekdes. Her combination of personal lyrics and a vocal range with both sweetness and strength has already made Mekdes one to watch. The single, ‘On My Mind’, was released in March and the inspiration from current female R’n’B and soul artists such as NAO and Billie Eilish.
