Let’s Talk Music Publishing
With the increasing focus on commercial songwriting and music publishing, we look at the many possibilities for selling music internationally. The introductory keynote “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” is followed by a debate about the successful Swedish music publishers – and the Norwegian and Danish, who are on their way – before we end with the panel “How To Win The Eurovison”, which, among others, include songwriter Laurell Barker (CA), who has three songs in this year’s Eurovision-finals in Israel.

Nordic Music Publishing: Who’s Next?
The Swedes has owned the international songwriting scene for years, but now the other Scandinavian countries are closing in with a new generation of strong and talented songwriters. So, what is it with the Nordic songwriters? Is it a certain Nordic sound, or are they just experts at writing great songs for the international market? This panel will try to come up with some answers.

How To Win The Eurovision
The panel consists of experienced songwriters and publishers who all successfully work with the Eurovision in one way or another. We will try to find out whether there is a difference between writing songs for the Eurovision and ordinary pop songs? Also, how do you work as a songwriter and publisher with the Eurovision in Sweden, and why is it so big there? We will also talk to Mads Enggaard from DR/Danish National TV about how the selection process takes place in Denmark and what he sees as a good Eurovision song and performance.
Meet:
