Let’s Talk Music Publishing
Music publishing is the oldest “sector” within the music business, but nevertheless today it could even prove to be the most modern one.
Working with songs, rights and compositions opens a huge variety of opportunities for music publishers, producers and songwriters. Because good songs are always in demand – all over the world. While the Swedes have been at the forefront for decades, the rest of the Nordic countries are beginning to have an impact on the international music scene as well, when it comes to hit songs for international artists. In Denmark, we’re experiencing a huge development these years with a new generation of publishers, songwriters and producers with international ambitions coming up.
With the “Let’s Talk Music Publishing”-seminar @ SPOT+, we aim to create a new meeting point for both music publishers and songwriters for sharing of knowledge, network and inspiration.
The seminar will kick off with a keynote which will focus on the songs and how to get them out in the world. To follow up on this, we shall turn to the Nordic success of music publishing, and move on to something that has become an important area for songwriters: The Eurovision Song Contest – and how to work it.
