Efterklang in comeback concert on SPOT ft. B.O.X (BE)

Efterklang is “relaunching” their career with a performance at this year’s SPOT Festival. At their concert on SPOT, the band will be performing new and unreleased music as well as much-loved songs from their impressive back-catalogue – songs that have not been performed live on stage for several years. 

In February 2014 the band gave a performance entitled “The Last Concert” which led many to believe that the group would retire. However, the concert marked the beginning of a far more experimenting and reflecting era for the band as they since released two albums under the moniker Liima with percussionist Tatu Rönkkö as well as an opera entitled “Leaves, The Colour of Falling” in collaboration with composer Karsten Fundal.

The Antwerp-based baroque band B.O.X focusing on collective creation gathers some of today’s finest virtuosi on antique instruments, creating genre bending new sounds and building bridges between audiences. B.O.X will be joining Efterklang on stage for some of the band’s new songs. Thus, 2019 will be an exciting year for the Danish group Efterklang, where SPOT will mark an introduction to the new Efterklang.
