City SPOT Aarhus – the concerts around the city

– A number of concerts are going to transform the urban space in Aarhus with the latest trends in Danish and Nordic music when SPOT’s anniversary season kicks off on Thursday 2nd May. City SPOT is an extended concert concept during SPOT that will bring the music even closer to the city and the listener.

Various shops and business partners in Aarhus have embraced the idea, and will serve as venues for concerts and activities in the city space during the three festival days. Here, selected SPOT artists will perform extra concerts in a colourful mix of the latest musical trends and movements, and everyone who is going to be in Aarhus during SPOT can be a part of the festivities.    

SPOT has previously arranged concerts in the streets of Aarhus, but the collaboration is now expanded with a number of the city’s shops, which will help to convey and visualize the music and the festival. The shops will thus become venues for a number of exciting artists in this year’s line-up with both indoor and outdoor concerts.

The city’s musical pulse is going to increase as the music will expand through the city and create a large sound universe with a true festival atmosphere in the streets. Here, the music will be brought closer to the audience in intimate settings for the open-minded music lovers of Aarhus. In other words, the whole city of Aarhus will be the host of good music when City SPOT arrives.

The following shops will host concerts during City SPOT: HiFi Klubben (Europa Plads 4), IL Locale (Guldsmedegade 36), Mads Nørgaard (Badstuegade 1), Magasin (Immervad 2-8), Trævarefabrikernes UDSALG (Frederiks Allé 75), VA15 (Vester Allé 15) and VIU Eyewear (Volden 11).
