Bisse & Aarhus Symphony Orchestra: “Tanmaurk Revyen” (DK)
– SPOT and Aarhus Symphony Orchestra continue the cooperation – this year with Bisse’s “national chronicle”
The popular and extremely productive indie/alternative artist, Bisse, returns to SPOT in a new collaboration with Aarhus Symphony Orchestra for an extraordinary concert entitled “Tanmaurk Revyen”. Here Bisse will be presenting his 9thalbum “Tanmaurk” with the help of cellos, brass section, violins and much more from Aarhus Symphony Orchestra.
The combination of classical and an avantgarde version of popular music is a result of Bisse’s artistic curiosity, where the interaction between Aarhus Symphony Orchestra and Bisses own band gives the music a historical dimension and forms an extremely dynamic sound curtain around Bisse’s musical universe.
“Tanmaurk” is Bisse’s personal history of Denmark, as he perceives it, and it constitutes the concert’s musical focal point and presents a completely different side of Bisse, where the classical orchestra provides his material with a large and symphonic touch. The album was recorded with Copenhagen Phil and arranged by the pianist and composer Adi Zukanovic.
